Crafting tip

The eyes and the gaps between the feet and the branch are the smallest pieces to lift. Cut at 3 in (8 cm) tall or larger in vinyl and weed the eyes first — they are easy to miss, and the owl looks wrong without them. For a layered version, cut the eyes separately in a second colour and set them behind the body.
